LaRon Hunt, 12, was dropped off at Weberstown Mall about 5 p.m. March 20, according to his family. He was supposed to be picked up later, but when his family arrived, he was not there, police said in a news release Tuesday.

In a call for public assistance, police noted that LaRon was known to frequent the northeast Stockton area near Hammer Lane and Tam O’Shanter Drive as well as the neighborhood around Van Buren Elementary School on 10th Street.

The 5-foot-4-inch, 150-pound preteen had been wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt, black pants and blue-and-white Nike tennis shoes.

Authorities did not provide any additional information about LaRon’s whereabouts or indicate when he had been found. They simply thanked the community for their assistance.
