A 25-year-old man was arrested after leading officers on a pursuit in Stockton’s Valley Oak District over the weekend, police said.
A vehicle allegedly involved in a hit-and-run led officers on a pursuit in the area of Lorraine Avenue and Almondwood Lane around 11:49 p.m. Saturday.
After a brief pursuit, the vehicle stopped and its driver fled on foot. He was detained after a short-lived chase, police said.
The man was allegedly found to be under the influence and officers saw a firearm in the vehicle during a search. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit and run, evading and weapons crimes, police said.
