A man cleaning firearms accidentally shot himself and another person on Friday night, according to the Stockton Police Department.
The suspect and victim, both 22, were both transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said in a Facebook post. The incident occured at a residence on the 8400 block of Kelley Drive in the Bear Creek District.
Charges have been referred to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.
