A 35-year-old man was fatally shot in the 2400 block of Oak Hill Street this week, Stockton police said.

Officers responding to a report of a person being shot in the Seaport District found the victim about 3 a.m. Tuesday. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. The man has not yet been publicly identified.

No additional information in the killing, including a suspect or motive, has been released. Detectives have taken over the case. The homicide is the 21st of the year in Stockton, police said, a significant drop compared to the 33 slayings during the same span in 2024.
