Two people were hospitalized in separate assaults within hours over the weekend in Stockton’s Seaport District, police said.
The first attack was reported around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 1600 block of South Airport Way. Police said a 28-year-old woman was struck with an object while trying to break up a fight. After she fell, the assailant punched her several times.
She was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening. The suspect fled before officers arrived, police said.
Just hours later, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 2600 block of Georgia Avenue, where an 18-year-old man had been stabbed during an altercation. He was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The attacker in that case also remains unidentified.
No arrests have been made in either assault.
