A 49-year-old man was stabbed while sleeping early Tuesday morning, Stockton police said.
Officers responded at 1:12 a.m. to the 4000 block of North El Dorado Street in Stockton’s Civic District, where the victim told them he had been awoken by someone stabbing him.
The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
There was no suspect information immediately released in connection with the stabbing.
