Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi’s home was hit by a bullet over the weekend, both she and her partner confirmed independently to two Sacramento television stations.
No injuries were reported.
Fugazi said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, KCRA reported. She did not hear the shot herself, but her partner did. They reportedly noticed the bullet hole later that morning.
ABC10 spoke with the partner, who also confirmed the shooting. The bullet lodged in a wall after striking a bedroom. The mayor and her partner were reportedly “shaken up a little” but otherwise unhurt.
Stocktonia was unable to independently verify either report. Fugazi and Stockton police did not immediately respond to Stocktonia’s request for comment.
This is a developing story and will be updated as further details become available.
