One man was arrested and another remains at-large after a brief pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Stockton late Tuesday night, police said.

Around 11:55 p.m., officers tried to pull over a suspected stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of Navy Drive, located near the junction of Interstate Highway 5 and state Highway 4.

The driver did not yield and led the officers on a short pursuit that ended when the vehicle became disabled, and the driver and passenger then fled on foot, according to Stockton police.

Officers located the driver, identified as 31-year-old Jesus Garcia, and arrested him on suspicion of auto theft, resisting arrest, and traffic violations, police said. The passenger was not arrested and investigators have not released a detailed description of him.
