A woman was taken into custody over the weekend after police say she was swinging an object at people and had struck several cars in a Stockton intersection.
Officers responded around 12:05 p.m. Sunday to Pershing Avenue and Swain Road in the Lakeview District after receiving reports of a nude person behaving aggressively, according to police reports. When officers arrived, they found a woman swinging an unidentified object.
Police say the woman, whose name was not released, refused to obey orders and they used force to take her into custody.
She later was taken to a facility for mental evaluation, authorities said.
Police did not release any additional information about the woman or her condition.
