A Stockton police officer and two teenagers were treated for minor injuries after a police unit crashed with a sedan while responding to a call, police said Friday.

Stockton Police Department spokesperson Omar Edah said the officer and two 17-year-old males in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital to be checked out and later released.

The crash happened on March Lane near Precissi Lane as the police unit was traveling eastbound. The police unit was responding with lights and sirens to a call involving a suspect connected to an assault in the Kentfield area.

Officers blocked off the intersection while they investigated the crash. Edah said it is too early to determine fault.

The suspect connected to the assault call was later arrested near Jamestown Street and Kentfield Road. Edah said Friday morning there were no additional updates.
