One person was killed and three others were injured in two separate Stockton shootings Friday night, police said.

The first shooting was reported around 9:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of Plantation Place, where three victims were found injured. Police said at least one of the victims is an adult, though the ages of the other two victims were still being verified.

All three were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

About 20 minutes later, police responded to another shooting near Hunter and Sonora streets. A 36-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said there was no known motive or releasable suspect information in either shooting as of late Friday. The two shootings do not appear to be connected.

Police said there were no active scenes remaining after the investigations began.

The man’s death marks Stockton’s 16th homicide of the year and the seventh homicide reported in the city this month.
