The Stockton Cargo SC powered to a commanding 7–1 victory over the Olympic Club of San Francisco on Saturday, continuing their undefeated start to the season. The USL W League match was played in front of 350 fans at Bear Creek High School, serving as the Cargo’s temporary home for the day.

Former Afghanistan Women’s National Team player Mika Sayfurhman opened the scoring early in the 4th minute, finishing a set piece from Hannah Diaz. Maleah Evans added another goal just minutes later to give Stockton a 2–0 lead by the 8th minute.

The match was paused in the 17th minute after a medical emergency involving veteran Haley Bostard. She was transported to San Joaquin General Hospital and later discharged after evaluation.

Play resumed with momentum still in Stockton’s favor. Sam Tristan added her second goal of the season just before halftime, making it 3–0.

In the second half, Stockton’s Janelli Villegran, a hometown standout, made a statement with two goals and an assist, marking a breakout moment in her USL W career. Tristan netted her second of the night in the 66th minute, while Diaz sealed the match with a final goal in the 90th minute — her second this season.

The Olympic Club’s lone goal came in the 82nd minute from Penille Kelm.

Goalkeepers Amanda Leal and Braidynn Mott split time in the net for Stockton, with Leal earning three saves in the first half and Mott making her season debut with two saves in the second.

The Cargo will head on the road next Saturday, May 17, to face league newcomer San Juan SC. They return home on Sunday, May 25, for a 6 p.m. match against NorCal rival California Storm at University of the Pacific’s Knoles Field.
