San Joaquin County Superior Court in Stockton had to be evacuated Tuesday morning because of a bomb threat, according to the county Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9:30 a.m., someone near the security area of the courthouse at 180 E. Weber St. began making verbal threats. The person was detained and authorities escorted everyone out of the building and called their bomb squad to investigate, sheriff’s officials said.

The building was eventually reopened after no explosives were found inside. The name of the person detained was not immediately released.
