The second and final town hall hosted by the San Joaquin County Civic Alliance will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11 at Delta College’s Dawn Mabalon Forum.

The event will feature a discussion with San Joaquin County Supervisors Mario Gardea and Sonny Dhaliwal. The forums are designed or the public to hear from and question first-year elected officials. All the officials were elected in 2024.

The first forum on Sept. 4 featured Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee and Councilmember Mario Enriquez.

The San Joaquin County Civic Alliance is a collaboration of the community organizations who present candidate forums at Delta College during election season.

Participating organizations include Delta College’s political science department, the Business Council of San Joaquin County, California State University Stanislaus — Stockton, the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, the African American Chamber of Commerce, the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Central Valley Asian American Chamber of Commerce, the Stockton branch of the NAACP, The Record, Stocktonia and the League of Women Voters of San Joaquin County.

Gardea represents District 1, which encompasses all of south Stockton and other areas. Dhaliwal represents District 3, which runs through the northwest corner of Stockton into southern San Joaquin County.
