A man was arrested on Thursday for the August 11 daytime shooting death of a 23-year-old man outside the Golden 1 Credit Union on Pacific Avenue in Stockton.
Laonard Allen Alexander, 43, was taken into custody by the The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in the Contra Costa County city of San Pablo. He was booked into the San Joaquin CountyJail on the charge of felony murder, and is being held on $2 million bail.
Alexander is scheduled to appear at in court at the Stockton Courthouse on Sept. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
The shooting was first reported late in the morning on Aug. 11 outside of the credit union, which is within the parking lot of the Sherwood Mall and across the street from San Joaquin Delta College. When Stockton Police Department officers arrived, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound on the southside of the building. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
