A 20-year-old man died in a shooting early Monday in Stockton, police reported on their Facebook page.

The shooting was reported shortly before 12:20 a.m. in the 500 block of west Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. His name has not been released.

Stockton police have not made any arrest in the slaying or released any suspect information.

The homicide was the second in as many days in the city. Shortly before 2:40 a.m. Sunday, a 24-year-old man was shot and killed in the 800 block of Macduff Avenue, police said. No arrest has been made and no suspect information was available in that case either.
