A second 17-year-old boy has died from injuries sustained in a Stockton shooting that initially left one teen dead and another critically wounded earlier this month.
The teen who had been critically wounded succumbed to his injuries five days after the April 10 shooting, Stockton Police spokesperson Omer Edhah told Stocktonia Friday.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 10 p.m. on April … near Lafayette and South San Joaquin streets. Both victims — two 17-year-old boys — were found with gunshot wounds.
“Both were transported to an area hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries, and the other was treated for life-threatening injuries,” the department said the day of the shooting.
The teen who died on the night of the shooting was identified as Isaic Aromin-Quintoa of Stockton, according to the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the second victim has not yet been released.
Police have not shared details about a suspect or whether any arrests connected to the case have been made. Detectives continue to investigate.
