Good morning, Stockton.

The Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a milestone this year, marking 125 years of supporting businesses across the region.

Chris Woodyard reports the organization continues to serve both large employers and small businesses, offering resources, advocacy and connections that help keep the local economy moving. The anniversary highlights how the Chamber’s role has shifted over time while staying rooted in the community it represents.

Elsewhere, our weekend guide rounds up events happening across Stockton and nearby cities. We’re also following continued developments in the case of a man shot by ICE, whose attorney says he has been moved between multiple jails across the state. A new bill led by a Stockton educator aims to improve access for college students with disabilities, and investigators are looking into a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 5.

Thank you for reading and for staying connected to Stockton.
