Throughout the month of September, San Joaquin Delta College will host forums where members of the public can meet and hear from electoral candidates running for various positions throughout the county.
The forums will be held at the Dawn Mabalon Forum at 5151 Pacific Avenue with candidates and representatives available before and after the event. Parking will be free at the college when the event begins, and the host organizers recommend members of the public park at either Locke parking lot No. 3 or 4.
The first forum will take place on Sept. 19 where people can meet and hear from the Delta Board of Trustees Area one and two from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Candidate Forum kicks off its two-day event on Tuesday, Sept. 24, with candidates running for CA State Assembly District 13, SJC Board of Supervisors District 1, and State Senate District 5 attending the event from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
On Sept. 25, people will get a chance to meet and hear from candidates running for City of Stockton Mayor City Council Districts four and six. This event will also begin at 6 p.m., with the last event starting at 7:30 p.m.
The last forum will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26, covering the Stockton Unified School District Area District 4 starting at 6:45 p.m.
